What services do you provide?

What is the best way to start using your services?
First of all, read about the services we provide. After that you should decide what woman you would like to meet. You can place your information and photo in our men?s Catalog online free of charge and see whether you would like to meet girls who write you - there is no doubt you will get letters if you have a profile. Women send their letters of introduction to men they like. Once you've registered in the on-line catalog, you can always view your information and change it. You also can add or change your photos.
Why are your services free for women and not also men?
Our services are free for women but are not free for men. We do not charge women for our services because it would be rather expensive for them. Thus, one hour in the Internet cafe is about 1-2 USD, the translation of 1 page would cost same 1-2 USD. If we consider that average salary of Ukrainian woman is 150- 300 USD and they have to live, eat, buy clothes and look good: So, a woman prefers to use the help of our agency to get acquainted with men and choose a suitable partner for future serious relations. How do I purchase a single address?
You should visit the Album page or the Latest Additions page, or use the Search Engine and click on the thumbnail of the women who?s address you want purchase. This will open her profile page in a new browser window, where you will see a button. Press it and this lady will be added into your shopping cart. Then please press the button. The Order form will open where you should fill in your personal info. Upon completion of this form press the 'Continue' button and you will be taken to the secure server where you will accomplish the payment process, and after this you will receive by E-mail the address you ordered.
I would like to know if we purchase the address of these ladies would it include a telephone number & email.
No. You can buy postal address or a package "postal address plus e-mail" (which is more expensive). We do not sell telephone numbers - very few of our women would agree to receive a call in the middle of the night from a foreign man they do not know. Women prefer to give their phone numbers after exchanging several letters, when they know what to talk about agreed about interpreter, time of telephone conversations, etc. Also the problem is that not every woman in our database has the home phone number - sometimes they leave phones of friends, neighbors, relatives, working phones, etc. So we are able to contact them. It is expensive and not very easy to have a telephone installed - it is especially true for smaller cities.
I opened a letter from a lady who said she was interested in knowing me. I then "purchased" the address, and have written two letters but I have hear back. Why did I get a letter if she is really NOT interested?
As for the postal addresses you order: we can't make girls reply to the letters they get by post, moreover, we do not control it. We could inquire whether girls receive your letters, but that's all we can do... very often when girls get letters by post they come to us for help - with translation, letter forwarding, etc. and we again on the starting point - a Ukrainian woman wants to correspond using the services of the agency and the man doesn't want to pay the agency for the services. Try to understand - if a lady gets letters at the agency, where they are translated for her, printed and she can reply them very easily just bringing her reply written in her native language on a sheet of paper, and thus a woman can exchange letters with foreign men faster - she would choose the easiest way for her. We promise you delivery of your mail as long as you use our web-site: We can not control the correspondence that goes on OUT of our web-site, sorry. It is more convenient for a lady to correspond using the services of the agency, she may be a client of one, two, three... agencies in her native city; she can get your letter through one agency and then go with it to another and ask to help her with corresponding with you, and you will get contacted by the agency you have never heard about and will be asked about corresponding with the lady using their web-site. How do I know that your women are still available?
We regularly call every woman in our database to make sure she is still available, needs our services and that her contact information has not changed. We delete those who ask us to.

How do I delete my profile?
You can ask us to delete your profile by sending an email to info@abridefromodessa.com, or by using the ?contact us" form indicating in your message to us your ID/login and password. We would also greatly appreciate it if you would give us the reason why you are not wanting to use our services anymore.
Can I order gift and flower deliveries that are not listed?
Yes, we can deliver almost anything you want, we just need to know what you want to deliver and to which lady. We have a great gift site with the most popular gifts and flowers, the prices for these gifts and flowers do vary from city to city. Please send us an inquiry to find out about any gift you would like to send not available on our gift site.

(Note, that only considerably few women have provided their e-mails for direct contact) other women receive your letters at our agency, this is called e-mail forwarding. You send your e-mail to a chosen lady, and your e-mail message is received in our office. Our interpreters translate your message into the lady's native language (meaning Russian, Ukrainian) and then our office manager informs the lady on the phone that a message is waiting for her. If it is the first time you contact the lady, together with your letter she receives your profile and photo you have in your profile in our Catalog. When she receives your message - women usually prefer to come to the office to pick their letters up - the woman is able to write a response immediately in our office if she prefers, or she may think it over at home and then bring her reply (when she's ready) to us to translate and forward on to you.
Why do you not have a monthly membership fee for sending letters?
Because there are some men who can write hundreds letters per month just for the mere fun of it... Because of those idiots we have chosen this way of service unfortunately. Also for our girls; they know men who pay per letter know what they spend money for, and are more serious about each letter they write and are not wasting our time and our ladies time. We only want the serious man for our women not the jerks who fill up accounts with cut and paste letters.
How non-disclosure of the background information can affect the US client?
According to International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005 after filing a petition for a K non-immigrant visa, the United States client will be subject to a criminal background check. The Consular Officer at interview will provide the visa applicant (your bride from Ukraine, Russia, or any other country than the USA) with a copy of the fiancee or spousal petition, and information and documents in her native language on any past marital and divorce history, past criminal history and past domestic violence history of the petitioner. The Consular Officer will also ask the visa applicant if the relationship was facilitated by an International Marriage Broker and, if so, confirm that the broker provided the applicant with information or documents about the petitioner's background. So, IF in the beginning of your contact the woman did not have all this information, it is possible that she will NOT get her Fiancee Visa. We strongly recommend you to consult your lawyer regarding the provisions of International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005.
Does this Law apply to me? I am not a US citizen.
No the law only applies to "US citizens" but to "United States clients", which is defined as a US citizen OR any person residing in the U.S. Thus, "United States clients" are required to comply with this law, and supply the mandated background information and documents. Our agency requires you to supply such information at time of registration and before contact with any lady on our site.
What information should I disclose for the new regulations in the USA?
According to International Marriage Broker Regulation Act of 2005 the United States client should provide us, International Marriage Broker, with the future disclosure to potential United States client's partner in marriage, with the following information:
- 1. Any court order restricting United States client's physical contact or communication with or behavior towards another person, including any temporary or permanent civil restraining order or protection order.
- 2. Any arrest or conviction of United States client's for homicide, murder, manslaughter, assault, battery, domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, abusive sexual contact, sexual exploitation, incest, child abuse or neglect, torture, trafficking, peonage, holding hostage, involuntary servitude, slave trade, kidnapping, abduction, unlawful criminal restraint, false imprisonment, stalking, or any similar activity in violation of Federal, State or local criminal law.
- 3. Any arrest or conviction of the client or person for prostitution (solely or principally engaging in, or facilitating prostitution; any direct or indirect attempts to procure prostitutes or persons for the purpose of prostitution; or any receipt, in whole or in part, of the proceeds of prostitution)
- 4. Marital history of the United States client, including whether the client is currently married; whether the client has previously been married and how many times; how previous marriages of the client were terminated and the date of termination; whether the client has previously sponsored the immigration of an alien to whom the client or person was engaged or married.
- 5. The ages of any children of the client or person under the age of 18.
- 6. All States in which the client or person has resided since the age of 18.
How do I contact women from your site?
You can contact any woman from our brides catalog either by post - for this you should buy woman's postal address, or through our email forwarding system. For initial contact you can send an inquiry or a letter. A inquiry is a short standard message that attracts woman's attention to your profile in our Men Online Catalog you will get a reply with yes or no. or you can send a letter and write anything you want in it, and a woman also replies with a full letter if interested. To use these services you will need to register first.
Can I send an inquiry to one of your ladies if I am not a member?
No to send an inquiry you should be registered user and have credits on your account. Members (registered users who paid a membership fee) have free inquiries every month.
Can the text of an inquiry be changed?
No, the text of an inquiry is unchangeable. Also you will get a standard reply message: which is either going to say yes or no, with a few possible comments (for example: not interested, didn't like the profile).
What is the difference between an inquiry and a letter?
The inquiry is a short standard unchangeable note which sends a note your interest in a woman and about the woman's interest in you. You get a short standard reply to your inquiry - yes or no. You can send an inquiry only to a woman with whom you have not had any contact before with. (Meaning you have not written to the woman and have not received any letters from her). The cost of an in QUERY is 4 times less that a cost of a letter. A letter can be sent to any woman, you can write anything in a letter and in her reply woman will write whatever she wants back.
How do I keep tracking of my inquiries?
All in QUERIES you send are recorded in the section inside your account called "Your inquiries". You can see to whom and when you sent your inquiries, the status of each inquiry (if it was replied to or not), and if the inquiry is replied to what kind of reply was given by the woman. You can delete inquiries that were replied by any women, but you can't delete inquiries without replies. Besides, all inquiries leave a track in your Payment History.
How can I know if a lady I saw on your site speaks any language (English, German...)?
Please, look on her profile page and find the line "Language". If a lady speaks English you will see it at that line. You also can see the level of her language. The rate can be from 0 to 5.
- 0 - no knowledge, never learned English, needs translations both ways
- 1 - Beginner, needs translations both ways (for example, school lessons - 3-5 years)
- 2 - Some English with a dictionary needs translations both ways (for example, she visits courses)
- 3 - Poor English, needs translations from Russian to English only (this lady has some practice already)
- 4 - Good English, practically doesn't need translations (for difficult conversations only)
- 5 - Fluent English (speaks& writes easily), doesn't need translations at all
We encourage our ladies to write in English if they mark their level of English as "4" and "5". If a lady has "3" level of English that means that she maybe is able to read your letter, but it will take hours to understand a page of the text :)) So, if you wouldn't like her to get nervous and answer your letter fast, we would advice you to us our e-mail forwarding, your letter and of course her letter will be translated in your languages.

Lady's reply - yes or no - is FREE!
To send an Inquiry you should just click on the INQUIRY button on the lady's page. The woman's agency receives a standard note with request to show your profile and photo in the catalog to the girl and then inform us whether the woman is interested in you. Within a week you should receive a reply from the lady. If it is positive - you may then write her a detailed e-mail about yourself (see our e-mail forwarding details). YOU WILL ALREADY KNOW THAT SHE IS INTERESTED.
Please remember that to write to the woman and read her replies will cost you the usual 1 POINT per e-mail - see in details how email forwarding system works. If the lady is not interested and does not reply to your inquiry, YOU ONLY LOSE THE INQUIRY COST (which is ONLY 0.50 Points!) not the full 1 POINT if you would have sent an e-mail.
Please Note: It is impossible to send an inquiry if the lady has already sent you an e-mail or you have written to her before. Also, you should have your ad published in the Gentlemen's Catalog to use the INQUIRY option - so the lady could review it before deciding on whether to reply to your Inquiry.
